Who we are
This website is operated by Altus Chiropractic Ltd., doing business as Altus Integrated Health ("we", "us", "our"). We provide chiropractic, physiotherapy, registered massage therapy and kinesiology at 2168 McCallum Rd #8 and 32920 Ventura Ave #101, Abbotsford, BC.
We follow British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website.
What this policy covers
This policy covers altusintegratedhealth.com. The health information we collect when you become a patient, such as your intake forms, assessment findings and treatment records, is handled under our clinic privacy practices and the standards of our practitioners' regulatory colleges. You'll receive information about that when you register as a patient.
Information we collect
Information you give us
If you email or phone us, we collect the information you share, such as your name, contact details and the reason you're getting in touch. Please don't send detailed health information by email.
Online booking
Online booking is provided by Jane App. When you book, you give your information to Jane, which handles it on our behalf under its own privacy policy, and we receive your booking details so we can provide your care.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, ours collects some information automatically when you visit:
- Analytics. We use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, such as which pages are visited, how long for, the type of device and browser, and an approximate location based on your IP address. This helps us improve the site.
- Advertising measurement. We use a Google Ads tag to measure whether our ads lead to visits, calls or bookings.
- Marketing source. We use a first-party cookie, mirrored in your browser's local storage, to record how you first and most recently found our website: for example, the search engine, ad campaign or website that referred you, and the page you landed on. It's kept for 90 days. We use it only to understand which of our marketing helps people find us, and we don't sell it or share it with anyone else.
- Maps. Some pages show an embedded Google Map. When the map loads, Google may collect information under its own privacy policy.

We don't sell personal information.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the website and our booking, and only for those purposes. They include our website host (Cloudflare), Google (analytics, advertising measurement and maps) and Jane App (booking). Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.
We may also disclose information where the law requires or permits it.
Cookies and your choices
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can clear your browser's local storage. The website still works if you do. You can also:
- Opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout)
- Manage ad personalisation in your Google account settings (adssettings.google.com)
How long we keep information
The marketing-source cookie expires after 90 days. Analytics data is kept for the period set in our Google Analytics account. Emails and messages are kept for as long as we need them to respond to you and to meet our record-keeping obligations.
How we protect information
We use reasonable security arrangements to protect personal information, and we limit access to people who need it. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Under PIPA, you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. We'll respond within the time PIPA allows. To make a request, contact our Privacy Officer using the details below.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia (oipc.bc.ca).
Children
This website isn't directed at children. Bookings for children are made by a parent or guardian.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
